Mrs. Clause Boutique

This blog has never had so much activity in one day... ;) I'm trying to spread the word about an event I'm involved in. It's called the Mrs. Clause Boutique and is put on by the spouse association for Adam's program. Here's the info: Mrs. Clause Boutique Saturday, December 3, 2011, 10am-2pm 997 N 1880 W, Provo Cash and Check ONLY This boutique is full of wonderful handmade and original items created by BYU MBA and Law Student spouses. These items will be like those you could find on Etsy, but no shipping costs! There will be great treasures for yourself or holiday gifts for others. There will be everything from baby accessories and apparel for women and children to holiday candy and household decorations. This event is at a clubhouse with plenty of parking. If spots in front and behind the clubhouse are taken, park on Independence Ave (1890 W) and head down. There will be street signs for the boutique to show you the way. Invite your friends! This will be an amazing event! Questions? Please email at mrsclauseboutique@gmail.com

Keeping Your Address List Current

Hey there, Friends, I'm planning to email you a link in the next couple days that will give you access to a google doc. It will be a shared spreadsheet that those with the link can view and edit. I've been talking with Karen, and this is the best way (I think) to keep our addresses current and accessible to each other. Watch for it to come! Becky

Hayden Kristopher Coles

Hey everyone! Since I don't have my own blog, I thought I'd post an update here. Hayden Kristopher Coles was born June 4th. He was 7lbs. 1oz. and 20in. He's doing great! I'm finally doing great. Long story short, for 3 months I dealt with kidney stones on top of being pregnant so I had surgery to have a stint placed. I had surgery a couple weeks after Hayden was born to blast the stones so they would come out in pieces and to have the stint removed. I'm doing WONDERFUL now. I really appreciate a pain free life now.
Kris graduated with his Master's in May and works at UVU as an advisor for student government and is the program director of orientations. He's planning on applying for a PHD program this fall.
Brynlee will be 2 in August and is loving being a big sister! Life is good!

Hey all. We are coming to Utah for Thanksgiving and my grandma is arranging for us to see the ponies from Howdy Town. Click here, if you don't know what it is. Anyway, I wanted to see if any of you would be interested in coming. There are three horses and they are miniature Palominos. They look pretty cute to me. Anyway, let me know!

Help!

What a first Fathers day for Stuart! We woke up this morning to find that someone had broken in to our house, stolen my purse, my phone (so don't try to call me) 4 ipods, our camera, Lafaunda wallet, Mark gold watch and worst of all OUR CAR! Yes our Subaru that is not even a year old yet! I hate thieves. Grrrrr! So we spent our morning with the Cottonwood Heights Police and all the credit card companys canceling our credit cards.

So, if any one happens to see a White Subaru Outback with a Tan Britax carseat in the back with the license plate number
B95 6BB
...please call the police. Thanks!

A Visit

Hey, Ladies. I'm coming to Utah for a week and think it would be nice to see my girlfriends! Either a playgroup with kids or a girls only lunch/dinner outing would be fun. Or both. :) We'll be coming April 30th and leaving May 8th. Maybe during the week would be best, like Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday? I'd love suggestions of what to do, since I kind of forget what it's like to live there and have so many options. Even if we can't get together, I'd like to hear of your favorite places to take kids, eat, or go out. Let me know! Thanks.

Clint & Patrice...

Since we are trying to get the word out about Clint and Patrice, Meg asked me to post this on our "friend" blog. So...here is the info. Any help they can get would be appreciated.

Wednesday morning Patrice was running late and wasn't going to make it on time to pick up Bode from Pre-school. Clint works close to the Pre-school so Patrice called him to see if he could swing by and pick him up. Shortly after Patrice received a call from Bode's pre-school teacher to see if anyone was on their way. Patrice was instantly alarmed and drove to Bode's pre-school going the route that Clint would've taken. She came upon a tragic accident only to discover that the mangled truck was Clint's. Clint's truck collided with a cement truck at a very notorious intersection. As she pulled up the paramedics were loading Clint on a stretcher and putting him into the "Life Flight" He was then flown to the Ogden Regional hospital. Once Clint arrived at the hospital the paramedics and doctors realized that his head trauma was so serious that he needed to be put into a drug induced coma. Due to the coma they also had to insert a breathing tube as well as many other tubes. This was a precaution that helps to slow the swelling and bleeding in the brain.

From the time he entered the hospital until Thursday we received very little news. We fasted and prayed that the bleeding and the swelling would subside. The doctors informed us that he had sustained other injuries in the accident, but as a precaution they chose not to treat them until he was stabilized. Thursday afternoon our prayers were answered, the neurologist informed us that there had been no additional swelling and the bleeding had stopped and would heal on its own. Late Thursday we were also encouraged to see Clint would squeeze hands and blink to communicate.

This morning brought more good news, the breathing tube came out and slowly he began talking. Also another CT scan was done and the neurologist predicted that he would have a full mental recovery. He was also then able to communicate to the doctors that he was in a great deal of pain. At this point the doctors were finally able to address the other injuries sustained in the accident. They determined that he has broken his back (fracturing three vertebrae), as well as vertically fracturing his tibia (shin bone), along with some kind of injury to his shoulder that has yet to be determined. Tomorrow morning Clint will go into surgery to receive plates and screws to repair the damage on the fractured tibia.

Many have asked what they could do and how they could help. So we decided tonight to set up an account in Clint’s name to help offset some of their expenses. As you may or may not know Patrice is expecting their 3rd child this July 2010. Like many young couples in this stage of life money is tight and this accident has been a major concern financially for Patrice and Clint. A donation of any amount would help ease their burden that they are baring at this time. We are grateful to know at this point that his mind should recover fully. Patrice has already expressed the feelings of comfort she has felt from your support and many prayers offered in their behalf. If you would like to help and make a donation you may do so by one of the following ways:

Go by any America First Credit Union and tell them you want to donate to Clint Pedersen, acct. # 9040270.

Or if you have an America First C.U. account, you can make a direct transfer from your account to his Clint Pedersen acct. #9040270.

Or you can mail a donation to: Clint Pedersen, Acct. #9040270America First Credit UnionP.O. Box 9199Ogden, UT 84409

Thank you again for all the concerns, prayers and support.

With much love the Pedersen and Knudsen Families
